Who is Crosswater?
Crosswater Community Church began in September of 2007 as a church plant of
Cascade Community Church in Monroe with the vision to “transform our community and the world with the love and life of Jesus Christ”. It is because of the transforming love of Jesus Christ that we commit to Love God, Love Others and Serve Generously.

Why Church?
The Church is GOD’s idea (Jer. 11:4, 1Peter 2:9-12). Church is not a building nor only a Sunday morning service, it is the people of GOD, the body of CHRIST and the bride of CHRIST (1 Corinthians 12:12-27, Ephesians 3:10,21 and Ephesians 5:23,25,27,29 and 32). GOD has designed HIS church to be HIS
family and to be salt and light in a tasteless and dark world (Matthew 5:13-16). We are to gather for encouragement, enrichment, teaching and accountability.
Why Membership?
We were not meant to follow God in isolation as individuals, instead, God has gifted each of us differently and in order for the church to function as God intended, each part of the body must work together to glorify Him and to bring the message of the gospel to others.
Besides helping the body to work
together, membership;
•Helps facilitate the discipleship process
•Provides for an additional level of commitment/accountability
•Helps to identify those who call Crosswater home
See: 1 Corinthians 12:12-31, Romans 12:4-8
What is Covenant?
Covenant is an agreement between two
parties binding them mutually to actions on each other’s behalf. These actions committed to are not dependent upon the faithfulness of the other. GOD is the author of covenants and does so graciously with man for man’s blessing and benefit.
Following the example of GOD in HIS
relationship with us, membership at Crosswater is a covenant relationship between the
member and Crosswater Community Church to intentionally live out the vision and purpose that GOD has given us as a church body.
