Worship Pastor
Reports to: Executive Pastor
Status: Salary, 40+ hours per week
Salary: $45,000-$50,000 DOE

About the Position:
The Worship Pastor, in partnership with the Pastoral staff, will draw both believers and non-believers closer to God through the act of worship. The Worship Pastor oversees and coordinates all the details of Crosswater’s Sunday morning services and seeks to extend the worship experience throughout the week. The Worship Pastor ensures that all the musical and technical aspects of the worship gatherings are in place and fit with the overall direction of the service(s). He will oversee song selection, media preparation and presentation, sound and lighting enhancements, and coordination of all instrumentalists and vocalists aswell as technical aspects of the service livestream.

Education and Experience
3+ years leading congregational worship or similar
Bachelors Degree (worship/seminary preferred)

Qualifications/Skill Set
Mature Christian who meets biblical qualifications for Eldership (I Tim 3:1-13 and Titus 1:6-9).
Pastor’s Heart
Ability to work with people, build teamwork and delegate responsibility.
Agrees/Adheres to the Vision, Values and Statement of Faith of Crosswater Community Church
High level of musical expertise
Supervisory skills/experience
Ability to adapt to change
Self-starter
Required: Experience with Worship Presentation Software (i.e., ProPresenter or similar)
Required: Experience with Worship Planning/Scheduling Software (i.e., Planning Center, Tithe.ly, etc.)
Required: Experience with AVL (audio, video, lighting)
Desired: Experience with audio and video editing
Desired: Graphic Design experience/capability

Primary Responsibilities
General Pastoral Duties (10%)
o Preach/Teach as needed/assigned
o Participate in pastoral care/discipleship as needed (funerals, weddings, hospital visitation, Biblical counseling).
Direct/Oversee Congregational Worship Experience (60%)
o Create and lead weekend and special event worship music as the primary worship leader.
o Provide oversight of all technical aspects of audio and video production for the worship services and live streaming.
o Lead and design musical/creative content for weekend worship.
o Coordinate weekend and special event programming.
o Consistently spend time in the word and in prayer in preparation for Sunday services
o Regularly rehearse both individually and with musicians
o Regularly create and lead content/opportunities to extend Worship throughout the week
Administrative/Planning duties (15%)
o Complete employee procedures/requirements as needed/required
o Ministry planning, scheduling, research
o Meet with Lead Pastor and/or Executive Pastor
o Consistently communicate with worship arts team for feedback, issue resolution, etc.
o Attend staff meetings as scheduled and attend other meetings, retreats, etc as needed
Volunteer Development/Training/Discipling (15%)
o Lead and develop the worship team(s) and their spiritual growth as well as their technical musical abilities.
o Respond to volunteers who request to be involved with worship ministry in a timely fashion
o Determine how best to utilize volunteers within the worship ministry
o Identify development needs for those in the worship ministry and determine best plan for developing those needs
o Pastoral care/discipleship

General Expectations
Regularly spends time in prayer.
Regularly spends time in study of God's Word.
Regular and consistent tithing to Crosswater
Regular service/attendance at Crosswater events as able and/or directed
Is involved in personal discipleship, either small group and/or one-on-one.
Attends all staff meetings and retreats, as directed.
Regularly attends Crosswater’s weekly worship service.
Maintains flexible working hours as determined by the needs of the ministry
