Our current series, "Prepared For Action" looks at the letter of 1 Peter, where Peter writes to Christians instructing them to persevere in their faith despite the circumstances that they find themselves in. These words, written centuries ago, are equally relevant to believers today as we seek to live in a way that is humble, honorable and holy. Today's message, ' Submitting: Why and How' looks at 1 Peter 2:13-25

Discussion Questions -

1 - Is humbling yourself and submitting (being "subject") to authority easy or hard for you? Please explain your answer.

2 - What are some reasons why we should submit to human authorities according to today's passage?

3 - How does our relationship with GOD free our submission to authority? How does our relationship with GOD free us from submitting to authority?

4 - 1 Peter 2:24 is so full of reason to trust and follow JESUS. How do these truths help you follow JESUS' example?

5 - Please talk about the implications of JESUS' example (1 Peter 2:21-25) of suffering for us as HIS followers.
