Thanks for joining us this morning!
Our current series, "Prepared For Action" looks at the letter of 1 Peter, where Peter writes to Christians instructing them to persevere in their faith despite the circumstances that they find themselves in. These words, written centuries ago, are equally relevant to believers today as we seek to live in a way that is humble, honorable and holy. Today's message, ' Humble, Honorable, Holy' looks at 1 Peter 5:1-14
We are so happy that you are here!
Discussion Questions -
1 - At the end of our journey through 1 Peter, Prepared for Action, please share one or more ways your thinking, speaking and your conduct have been changed by the prompting of the HOLY SPIRIT.
2 - What are some of the pitfalls for elders/shepherds that Peter warns of in 1 Peter 5:2 & 3? Conversely, what are the humble, honorable and holy reminders he gives in 1 Peter 5:1-5 to avoid the pitfalls?
3 - In your experience why is humility so good and difficult to be "clothed in"?
4 - What are some ways chapter 5 is challenging you to be humble, honorable and holy(set apart)?
5 - How has this letter (1 Peter) enabled you to suffer joyfully, rather than seeing suffering and joy as opposed to one another?
Please pray for a genuine hunger and thirst for GOD's righteousness for yourself and others
